Liya Goglidze was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, and grew up between Moscow and Vienna.
Eponymous women’s ready-to-wear line LIYΛ was established in 2017 and premiered at the Mercedes Benz Tbilisi Fashion week.
LIYΛ combines everything Goglidze advocates for: her roots, her heritage, her education, her ethics.
Treating her business as her family, Goglidze, whose youth was defined by “scarcity in everything,” is highly attentive to sustainability and stands by the policy of “no fabric waste,” sourcing stocked and already produced textiles. “One of LIYΛ’s features, which I hope is— and will—contribute to the sustainability, is that we create styles that hopefully can be worn for many seasons and are not a seasonal affair.”
LIYΛ also has a fine jewellery collection, hand-made in Georgia.
